LAST FULL DAY

So, today was the last full day of WJMC. The things that stood out most to me were the visits to the Capital and the Gala. I really lucked out today and ended up going on a special tour with only a few people. Richard knew one of the security guards and was able to score us a special tour of rescricted areas and we were able to sit in the Gallary to watch the House of Representatives in secession. It was a really cool experience that I’ll never forget. I also LOVE going to the Gala. It was a really fun chance to let loose and have one last good night with everyone we’ve met at WJMC. I also loved dressing up and watching all the supervisors dance. That is an image I will never forget. I’ve really enjoyed my experiences at WJMC and made life-long memories.

About jesjournalismconference

I'm a local 17 year old girl from Clifton Virginia, who attends Robinson Secondary School. My passion for journalism has stemmed from my work with my schools newspaper (the Valor Dictus) and interest in writing. Besides my involvement with the Valor Dictus, I'm also extremely dedicated and involved in my DECA chapter at school. This year I placed within the top 16 at the international worldwide conference for my Learn and Earn project. I've also been a competitive cheerleader for the past four years. I’ve cheered for Robinson, Capital Cheer, and Infinity Cheer. Over the past four year of competitive cheerleading, I've taken home 4 National Champion and Grand Champion titles as well as dozens of first and second place victories. Anyone who has worked with me during cheer, DECA or on the Valor Dictus staff can tell you I'm a very driven, aspiring, fun-loving and creative person to work with and be around.
