So, today was the last full day of WJMC. The things that stood out most to me were the visits to the Capital and the Gala. I really lucked out today and ended up going on a special tour with only a few people. Richard knew one of the security guards and was able to score us a special tour of rescricted areas and we were able to sit in the Gallary to watch the House of Representatives in secession. It was a really cool experience that I’ll never forget. I also LOVE going to the Gala. It was a really fun chance to let loose and have one last good night with everyone we’ve met at WJMC. I also loved dressing up and watching all the supervisors dance. That is an image I will never forget. I’ve really enjoyed my experiences at WJMC and made life-long memories.

- LAST FULL DAY
- As I got back from my day on Wednesday, I couldn’t stop thinking about what I experienced with C-SPAN and what I saw at the Holocaust museum. Getting to be on tv was a one in a life time experience. I’ve never been on tv before and I really enjoyed the Q and A secession with Brain Lamb. I wasn’t expecting much of the show, but I was presently suprised. The topic of discussing the role of journalism in todays world verses how it used to be was very interesting. I also really enjoyed the free time we had to visit in D.C. Even though I live in the Virginia area, I’ve never been to the Holocaust museum. What I saw at the museum was disturbing, but educational. I never knew that Hungarian peoples were taken into the concentration camps. I’m 1/2 Hungarian, so these exhibits hit me hard. I was able to understand what my people went through.
